Code Purple for New Castle County for the 2021-2022 Winter is still to be determined. We’re still working out the logistics of what this program will look like. Friendship House is committed to ensuring those most vulnerable are not sleeping on the streets during a cold night this winter.
In past years, Code Purple was called in New Castle County when the temperatures were low enough to be dangerous to those who have no shelter to keep them safe. Friendship House managed the Code Purple program in the cities of Wilmington, Newark and Middletown. Click here to learn about the Hope Center and the new program we implemented when COVID-19 interfered with the normal Code Purple program.
